RFP- Lincoln Street over Dunham Brook Bridge Rehabilitation
The project consists of full demolition of the superstructure and the substructure on the upstream side. The downstream side will consist of a partial substructure removal and replacement with a concrete bridge seat and concrete repairs to the abutment backface. These rehabilitated abutments will support precast concrete beams and cast-in-place closure beams on either end for a total length of 22’-0”. The upstream side will be replaced with a 42’-1” long precast concrete rigid frame structure containing an angle point to match the existing stream alignment. The training walls on the upstream side will be replaced using the existing stones to construct mortar rubble masonry walls supported on cast-in-place concrete footings. Additionally, the retaining wall underneath the building on the downstream side will be rehabilitated in a similar fashion to the abutment to remain. The out-to-out width of the proposed replacement structure will be 68’-10”, with a roadway width of 48’-9”.
